The National Centre for Sustainabe Development is the only non-governmental organisation accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with ECOSOC statute, to draft and implement in Romania local plans for socio-economic sustainable development - Local Agenda 21.

What NCSD does:

- Consultancy for public administration to integrate the sustainable development principles within local policies;

- Coordination and implementation of the conceptual framework of the strategic planning;

- Ellaboration of the chapters of the final document, together with local expert teams;

- Monthly presence in the local community to coordinate the meetings and to offer technical assistance to the project;

- Teaching the public authority staff about the socio-economic sustainable development issues;

- Training the public authority staff to write project proposals in order to access structural funds and techinical assistance for applications;

- Promotion of the local projects and of public-private partnerships;

- Editing the final version of the Local Plan for Sustainable Development.
