Study Visit

The Local Agenda 21 Romanian project partners - representatives of local authorities - paid a study visit to Austria, one of the EU member states and an experienced user of the Structural Funds.
The aim of the visit was to acquire practical knowledge about the actual implementation of projects by accessing EU funds according to the best practice of public and private organizations in Austria.
The main Austrian partners were the Local Agenda 21 Association Vienna (representative Ms. Andrea Binder Zehetner) and the City Hall of Vienna through the Press and Information Service (representative Ms. Michaela Moser), as well as the COMPRESS representation offices in Vienna (representative Ms. Barbara Kulmer) and Bucharest (representative Ms. Ondine Dascalita).
The presentations, followed by open discussions and questions, included topics such as:
- Project Models: Local Agenda 21 in Austria;
- Developing Projects: Making use of EU Structural Funds;
- District Management: Local management of the POSEIDON project;
- WAFF: Viennese Funds for employee promotion.,
