Closing Workshop of the Local Agenda 21 Project

29-30 November 2007, Bucharest

The final seminar took place after the conclusion of all the main project activities; it involved all the teams from participating municipalities and counties together with representatives of the Executing Partner and the managing authorities of the Structural Funds. The event agenda included:
- Opening speeches by the representatives of UNDP and of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing;
- Presentation of the specific experiences of each team in the process of elaborating the Local Agenda 21;
- The conclusions of the Vienna study tour in October 2007;
- Presentation of the priority projects selected by each local authority for the purpose of submitting applications for financing under Structural Funds;
- Open dialogue between the representatives of local authorities and the central or regional authorities responsible for the implementation of the Operational Programmes.

Furthermore, the opportunity for direct dialogue with representatives of the intermediary agencies specialized in the implementation of the Regional Operational Programme and the Sectoral Environment Operational Programme enabled the participants to clarify numerous aspects of the Applicant’s Guides.
