Closing Workshop of the Local Agenda 21 Project
29-30 November 2007 / Bucharest
The final seminar took place after the conclusion of all the main project activities and gathered all the teams from the involved municipalities and counties together with representatives from the Executing Partner and Management Authorities of Structural Funds.
After the representatives of UNDP and of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing addressed the audience, the event’s agenda also included:
- Presentation of the specific experiences of each team in the process of elaborating the Local Agenda 21
- Presentation of the conclusions of the Vienna study tour from October 2007
- Presentation of the priority project selected by each local authority with the purpose of submitting an application for financing under Structural Funds
- Direct dialogue between the representatives of the local authorities and the central or regional authorities responsible for the implementation of the Operational Programmes.
Furthermore, the possibility of the direct dialogue with the representatives of the intermediary bodies implementing the Regional Operational Programme and the Sectorial Environment Operational Programme has been an excellent occasion to clarify numerous aspects of the Applicant’s Guides that were unclear to the participants or wrongly interpreted by the potential applicants. The presence of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing, as well as the active involvement in discussions contributed to the success of the event.
