Developing application and implementation capacity for EU funded projects at the county, municipality or commune level.

The training course was organized in order to improve the local authorities capacity to absorb the structural funds and to fulfill the prerogatives and responsabilities they have in this area.

The contracting authorities were the United Nations Development Programme through the National Centre for Sustainable Development and the Ministry of European Integration. The trainers were the experts of Structural Consulting Group™.

Areas of competence focused by the training:

- Developing the capacity to implement structural funds;

- Developing the capacity to write financial proposals and imploving the capacity to participate and win public auctions;

- Aplication and exercise in practice of the achieved knowledges and abilities.

Purpose of the training:

- To gain the knowledges regarding the administration of the Structural and Cohesion Funds in Romania;

- To know the specific proceedings of the Structural and Cohesion Funds;

- To obtain the necessary abilities to write the financial application;

- To find out the best practices from UE member states regarding the projects unfolded by local authorities;

- Expertize to improve the local authorities’ organisational capability to administrate the structural instruments;

- The opportunity to learn from other public servants and the occasion to interact.

Every modulus used specific teaching methods and techniques: theory, case studies, applied exercises, role games, group techniques, joint evalluation, etc.
